Join us for the USGBC East Tennessee Chapter meeting with Ken Scalf from Energy Ace for lunch.

Presentation Describtion:  AIA is partnering with the International Code Council to create a new book in the family of I-building codes, the International Green Construction Code (IgCC). The ICC, AIA, and ASTM-International are the “cooperating sponsors” for this initiative, and have had an active role in the development process. The initiative fully integrates with the entire family of existing I-codes and builds on the good work of many organizations and advocates concerned with a more sustainable built environment.  ASHRAE Standard 189.1, a joint effort of ASHREA, IES and the USGBC, has been included in the IgCC code document as a compliance equivalently to the draft code. Join us April 26th for an exploration of, and update on the progress of the IgCC and what it will mean to the industry.
